Abstract: Guided by the "Life-Practice" educational theory, this study combines the teaching value of"Using Letters to Represent Numbers" in primary school mathematics with the needs of core literacycultivation to construct a tripartite collaborative teaching model-comprising teachers, "little masters" (peertutors), and AI intelligent tutors. Even if this content may be removed from primary school textbooks in thefuture, its core value in symbol awareness enlightenment, thinking mode transformation, and core literacyfoundation remains irreplaceable. By focusing on three core links-"integrating real-life contexts, advancinginquiry through practice, and extending the implementation of literacy" -the study clarifies the role divisionand collaborative logie of the three tutors throughout the entire teaching process. It transforms the cultivationof abstract symbolic awareness into life-oriented and operable practical activities, realizing the educationalconcepts of "life is learning" and "practice is teaching". This research highlights the long-term value of "Using Letters to Represent Numbers" as a carrier for literacy cultivation, providing a replicable andpromotable practical paradigm for the teaching of core concepts and core literacy culivation in primary schoolmathematics.
