Local Cultural Tourism Image Communication-A Study Based on AI Image
Practices in Gansu's Cultural Tourism Sector

[Abstract]Generative Homo sapiens artificial intelligence (AIGC) is reshaping the paradigm ofcultural dissemination with its multimodal generation capabilities, presenting dual opportunities of"cost reduction and efficiency enhancement" and "narrative innovation" for the image-basedcommunication of Gansu Province's cultural tourism. Therefore, based on the actual context ofGansu's cultural tourism and focusing on Al-generated imagery themed around the Silk Road, thispaper systematically reviews the technological evolution, application scenarios, and research status ofgenerative AI in the field of cultural tourism imagery. By integrating local resource characteristicssuch as Gansu's Silk Road culture, Dunhuang art, and intangible cultural heritage inheritance, itanalyzes the value and challenges of Al-generated imagery in content production, communicationchannels, and experiential innovation. The ultimate goal is to enhance the quality of Gansu's culturaltourism imagery, thereby serving the development of Gansu's cultural tourism industry, which standsas a crucial foundation for leveraging Homo sapiens artificial intelligence imagery to empower localeconomic growth.
