Abstract:Founded in the Lingdong area of Guangdong Province in the late Qing Dynasty,Chinese Times (Zhong Hua Xin Bao) was a newspaper under the Chinese Revolutionary League, presided over by Xie Yiqiao and other revolutionary parties. The newspaper vigorously promoted the ideas of national revolution, advocating the overthrow of Qing Dynasty, the authoritarian government, and the establishment of a bourgeois democratic republic. It introduced bourgeois democratic republic, freedom and equality, universal love and justice theories, and vigorously promoted modern democratic and civil rights of the western countries. It also accelerated the "Sun Yat sen Doctrine", interpreted and advocated the "Three Principles of the People". The people (Min Bao) and China Daily, founded overseas by Sun Yat sen and Chen Shaobai, shared the same spirit and were at odds with each other. They quickly became well-known and unparalleled bourgeois revolutionary newspapers in the eastern Guangdong and even in the entire Lingnan region.
