Theoretical Exploration and Practical Pathways of AI-Empowered Chinese
Language Teaching in the Macao Special Administrative Region

Abstract: The deep integration of Artificial Intelligence (Al) with Chinese language teaching is driving areconstructionof the educational ecosystem. Through personalized learning, cultural immersion andhuman-machine collaborative models, a dual enhancement of teaching efficiency and cultural heritage isachieved. Education and Youth Development Bureaus across various regions are promoting the integration ofAI into curricula and strengthening teacher training. Al-powered dual-teacher classrooms are narrowing theurban-rural divide, and culturally customized content enables "teaching according to aptitude." Among thesedevelopments, challenges lie in technological reliability, the transformation of teacher roles, and the risk ofstudent cognitive outsourcing. In the near future, lightweight AI and satellite technologies will extendcducational inclusivity to the "last mile." AI-driven cross-cultural teaching will facilitate the globaldissemination of the Chinese language, constructing a collaborative "technology-teacher-student" ccosystem. Itscore objective is to balance technological empowerment with the essence of education, using educational equity as a cornerstone and cultural heritage as its core, to propelChinese language education towardsanewparadigm of intelligence and globalization.
