Abstract: With the development of economic society and philanthropy, venture philanthropy as a new type of philanthropy partnership and charitable investment model has gradually attracted widespread attention from the government and charitable organizations in mainland China in recent years. Shanghai is one of the earliest areas in China to explore the government-led model of venture philanthropy. The medium and long-term project supervision of venture philanthropy undertaken by the J District Social organization Service Center has begun to take shape as a service-oriented supervision. Equipped with project follow-up liaisons and accompanying expert supervision, project evaluation is based on the principle of promoting construction through evaluation, highlighting process monitoring, and attaching importance to the ability improvement and initiative of the project executor. The causes of service-oriented supervision are closely related to the characteristics of medium and long-term venture philanthropy projects, the service needs of project undertakers, the expectations of project buyers for project quality, and the dynamic innovation of project supervisors. The high-quality development of service-oriented supervision also depends on the systematic enhancement of project supervisors and supervisors.
