Abstract: Against the backdrop of educational digital transformation, the deep integration of multimediatechnology with subject teaching has become a critical path for enhancing classroom effectiveness. However, practicalproblems persist, including technology application detached from teaching objectives, excessive material dilutingkey points, and an overly fast presentation pace with insufficient reflection time. Taking middle school ideologicaland political education as the research field, the research systematically explains the educational value of mulimediatechnology based on Vygotsky's Zone of Proximal Development theory and Cognitive Load Theory. It analyzesprominent problems and their causes, and proposes optimization strategies from three dimensions: objective anchoring.material refinement, and pace regulation, aiming to provide theoretical reference and practical guidance for teachers toscientifically apply multimedia technology and cultivate core competencies.
