[Abstract]We are living in an era of film-game fusion. Films and video games learn from each otherand integrate deeply in terms of media interfaces and reception contexts, giving birth to a number ofaudiovisual works that possess the dual attributes of both films and video games. Nowadays, manysuch audiovisual works can hardly be defined by the single dimension of either "film" or "video game"as understood in traditional cognition. Therefore, with the continuous deepening of film-game fusionin creative practice, it is imperative for us to rethink the media boundaries of video games, face up tothe inherent essential differences between films and video games, examine various film-game fusionworks from the perspective of "film-game demarcation", and carry out targeted research on the basisof clarifying the attributes of these works.
