Abstract:  In the contemporary exploration of cultural roots and identity in Chinese literary andartistic creation, "localism" has become one of the core dimensions. "Song of Wild Fruits" is aChinese mainland drama film directed by young director Li Binbin. The film tells the story ofChen Yu, a young man from a small town, who returns to his hometown of Daba Mountain afteran absence of many years. Through his interactions with his father and neighbors, he witnessesthe changes in the town's people and affairs. With "misty and rainy" as its core visual identity, thefilm transforms the regional scenery of southern Shaanxi into a local space that combines"geographical attributes" and "emotional warmth," providing a unique example for the spatialnarrative of contemporary local films.
