Abstract:  Wu Xing Zhe began with the floods in 1998 and ended more than ten days before theWenchuan earthquake in 2008. Floods, blizzards, SARS, mining accidents, and 9/11, the writingof disasters runs through the entire novel, reflecting the author's reflection on literature itself andreal life. The constant danger in novels is to create a sense of uncertainty, reflecting the livingconditions and psychological portrayal of people in this era. Wu Xing Zhe portrays China in towns,showcasing the cross-section of Chinese society along the318National Highway in cities andtowns, as well as the large-scale population mobility and current situation of towns in Chinaduring the high-speed urbanization process. "Jianghu children" and" town youth" are two keywords in "Wu Xing zhe".The novel portrays the order and chaos of the "Jianghu", the wandering fate of the "Jianghu children" and their restless heroic dreams.With the gradual improvement ofChina's legal system,Wu Xing Zhe depicts the final jianghu'of China.
