Abstract:   Life-practice education emphasizes that education originates from life and practice, with its core objective being to cultivate students’ six competencies and nurture individuals suited to the demands of the times.Within this framework, the value of implementing labor education lies in: fulfilling the educational mission of moral cultivation and holistic development; enhancing students’six competencies; promoting the integration of the five educations(moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic and labor education);strengthening collaboration among families, schools and communities; and facilitating interdisciplinary learning. However, current challenges in labor education include teachers’misinterpretation of educational concepts, fragmented curriculum content, overreliance on limited resources, insufficient access to dedicated labor practice centers, and incomplete evaluation systems. To address these issues, educators must adopt accurate interpretations of labor education principles, design coherent curricula, diversify resource utilization, establish labor practice hubs, and develop comprehensive evaluation frameworks.
